NEIL HUFFMAN SUBARU DELIVERS SUBARU OF AMERICA, INC. DONATION TO MARYHURST AS PART OF 2021 SUBARU SHARE THE LOVE® EVENT

Louisville, KY June 10, 2022 – Subaru of America, Inc. (“SOA”) and Neil Huffman Subaru recently presented a check for $14,916 to Maryhurst. Maryhurst was a local beneficiary in the 2021 Subaru Share the Love Event.

From November 18, 2021 to January 3, 2022, with every new Subaru purchased or leased, Subaru donated $250 to each customer’s choice of charity*. For the sixth year in a row, there was no cap on the total donation from Subaru of America to its Share the Love Event charitable partners. At the culmination of this year, SOA and its retailers hope to exceed a grand total of $225 million donated since the creation of the Subaru Share the Love Event to celebrate the 14th anniversary of the event.

“It continually amazes me to see the totals increase each year — without our customers, we wouldn’t be able to support the work Maryhurst does here in our community,” said Shane Huffman, Managing Partner of the Neil Huffman Automotive Group.

For 2021, SOA selected the four national charities: The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals on Wheels America and the National Park Foundation. Subaru retailers could also elect to add at least one local charity and for a fourth year, Neil Huffman Subaru selected Maryhurst as its hometown charity.

The check for $14,916 was presented to Maryhurst by Neil Huffman representatives Shane Huffman (Managing Partner), Jay Cross (Subaru Brand Manager), Shannon Huffman (Human Resources Director), and Dave Nelson (General Manager) to Micah Jorrisch (Vice President of External Relations, Maryhurst).

*Subaru will donate $250 for every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased from November 18, 2021, through January 3, 2022, to four national charities designated by the purchaser or lessee. Pre-approved Hometown Charities may be selected for donation depending on retailer participation. For every new Subaru vehicle sold or leased during the campaign period, participating retailers will donate an additional $50 instead  total to their registered Hometown Charities. Subaru will donate a total of $5 to their registered Hometown Charities for every Subaru vehicle routine service visit during the campaign period. A routine visit includes customer payment of $5 or greater, or any service that includes a genuine Subaru oil filter. Purchasers/lessees must make their charity designations by January 15, 2022. The four national charities will receive a guaranteed minimum donation of $250,000 each. See your local Subaru retailer for details or visit subaru.com/share. All donations made by Subaru of America, Inc.
