Subaru is committed to improving the lives around us. We believe in being a positive force in the neighborhoods where we live and work. We do this not just with donations from initiatives like the Subaru Share the Love® Event, but with other charitable initiatives that set examples for others to follow.

Here are some of the causes and passions Subaru supports.

Loves the Earth

Caring about the environment means more than just loving the outdoors. We want to help preserve nature and our natural resources. Partnering with our car dealerships across the country, Subaru works to reduce waste, safeguard resources, and preserve natural spaces. All Subaru products are manufactured in zero-landfill production plants. Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. is the only U.S. automobile production plant that has a designated backyard wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.

Loves to Care

We should all have a chance to live a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can. Subaru supports leading health-related causes like Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Make-A-Wish® America, Alzheimer’s Association, Dining Out For Life, Special Olympics and Lions International.

Loves to Help

We believe a perfect world is possible. Subaru supports both national and local organizations that help people in need. National organizations include Meals on Wheels America, American Red Cross – Ready Platinum Program, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, and USO. There are also a variety of dedicated local causes that Subaru supports.

Loves Learning

It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible. Supported organizations include the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Google Expeditions, Teach for America and the GET Program Saturday Academy which is an education nonprofit in Portland, Oregon, that provides out-of-school time learning opportunities for curious children.

Loves Pets

You’ve probably noticed pets in a lot of the Subaru commercials. We LOVE animals! Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy. During the month of October, through the Subaru Loves Pets initiative, Subaru retailers collect new pet supplies to donate to local animal organizations in our communities and give shelters supply kits for pets waiting for adoption. We also donate starter kits for new pet-adopting families.

Additionally, we help support organizations like ASPCA, ASPCA Rides and Center for Pet Safety. Our local car dealers also have individual events that help show the love to our furry friends!
