Share the Love: Eight Years Supporting Maryhurst

Who benefits from the Subaru Share the Love® Event donations?

Neil Huffman Subaru has chosen Maryhurst as its hometown charity partner for the eighth consecutive year. Maryhurst is Kentucky's oldest behavioral health services organization, supporting children and families facing trauma and crisis since 1843.

A Partnership That Changes Lives

This year marks a significant milestone. Neil Huffman Subaru and Maryhurst have worked together for eight years, raising tens of thousands of dollars for Louisville's most-vulnerable children. 

Maryhurst serves some of Kentucky's most-vulnerable youth—survivors of abuse and neglect who need specialized care. The organization is the only nonprofit in Kentucky contracted to serve adolescent girls with the highest level of need. Without Maryhurst, these children would be sent out of state for care.

How effective is Maryhurst? 

Nearly 90% of children who complete a Maryhurst program move on to less restrictive settings like their home or foster placement. 78% of youth in residential programs improve their academic scores in core subjects during enrollment.

The funds raised through the Subaru Share the Love® Event support all these services. Past donations have provided hundreds of therapeutic sessions, college-campus visits, and essential clothing for 50-plus youth entering the foster care system.

Participating is simple. Visit Neil Huffman Subaru between November 20, 2025, and January 2, 2026. When you purchase or lease a new Subaru, designate Maryhurst as your local charity of choice (or choose from four national charities: ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America, or the National Park Foundation). Subaru will donate a minimum of $300, and Neil Huffman Subaru contributes an additional $75.

The National Impact

The Subaru Share the Love® Event has raised nearly $350 million over 17 years. Customers choose between four national charities (ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America, and the National Park Foundation) or local nonprofits like Maryhurst.

Through the Subaru Share the Love Event® Event, Subaru and its retailers have supported more than 142,000 animals, granted nearly 4,000 wishes, and delivered close to 5 million meals nationwide.
